This place legitimately has the best coffee I have ever had. We walked into the store 5 minutes before closing (I know, we're the worst) but everyone was so nice and still willing to serve us. I'm so disappointed I didn't buy 15 bags of the beans. I live in Joburg but when I got back to Cape Town, I will make it a point to visit this Shop and buy all the beans!
Stopped here for a break between Table Mountain National Park and the drive to Chapman's Peak. What a gem! Relaxed spot with some geese chilling in the yard. Great coffee and lovely staff.
Such a vibes spot. The staff were nice and friendly. The look and feel is fresh for the Deep South. I had matcha it was yummy. The banana bread was abit dry, needs some butter served on it or next to it. Anything Dom does is great and amazing. The couch was comfortable needs some cards or chess maybe as a little add on. There’s not a lot of seating area so be prepared for outside sitting or sitting on the grass is a vibe with a yummy coffee and a Pastel de nata. Go and visit and enjoy I loved the views and nature out there.
Such a beautiful spot for a coffee shop. Extremely relaxed, quite surrounding and with the right attention to detail. As someone who really appreciates good coffee and the craft of roasting beans, this has been a lovely find. Tucked away from the main roads, you’ll find geese , chilled people and the right type of coffee for any time of the day. For families, there’s a small play ground nearby and for the hungry, the beer garden right next to it offers amazing food. The place is open from 7-2.30pm.
Sitting next to the word "quaint" in the dictionary, is Rooikat Roastery. A short gravel road spills you out onto the doorstep of a small farm building, inside which the Rooikat Roasters roost. There are a couple of small snack options, but I wouldn't go there for that, I would go there for the coffee. Again and again. It's smooth. It's rich, without being overpowering. It's got the lightest foam. It's bloody delicious, that's what it is! There are other things on the menu I suppose, but cappuccinos are the way to go - because I said so.
Best kept coffee secret in the Deep South! Excellent Flat White with a tasty Pasteis De Nata to match. Thanks Dom and team!
Delicious coffee, roasted on site and brewed to perfection through their La Marzocco coffee machine. Attention to detail from bean to cup, 10/10 recommend stopping for a quick coffee and to pick up a bag of freshly roasted beans.
Such a wonderful spot! Had a red cappuccino and pastel de nata. Excellent. Loved all the thoughtful details and the country music, a lovely escape from the busy world. Would recommend
